Everyone Seems To Be Talking About The HCG Diet Program

By Riley T. Simonis

A low-calorie intake paired with special supplement drops is known as the HCG diet. Lower calorie intake forces the body to burn stored fat for energy when the day's entire calorie intake has been used. Low calorie diets alone force the body to burn more fat once calories run out, but the addition of the special drops helps to maintain muscle mass during this process. HCG drops assist in easing any negative side effects, such as irritability or fatigue normally associated with low-calorie diets. The body's system of fat management, including the use of calorie consumption, is reorganized with the HCG diet. The special diet consists mainly of three stages; initial intake, training your metabolism, and the final maintenance stage.

During days one and two of the special diet, a high calorie diet is suggested during the initial intake of the HCG drops. This process helps the body to re-adjust its natural fat regulating system to burn more calories and fat when the low calorie diet is begun. The period of low-calorie intake in the diet is helped by the initial high-calorie phase as it decreases excess hunger throughout the diet process. The body begins to burn stored fat during the second portion of the special diet in which low-calorie intake ensures that fat will be a necessary fuel source throughout the process.

The final phase of the diet, known as the maintenance stage, starts when the drops have successfully altered the body's metabolism. When the maintenance portion of the special diet begins, drops are no longer necessary as calorie intake returns to normal.

The body's new, rearranged fat-burning process should not be disrupted by higher calorie intake, and the increase should be done slowly. Weight must be monitored closely during this time to ensure that the results of the diet are maintained and the reintroduction of normal calorie intake is not inhibiting the metabolism's changed procedure.

With the low-calorie intake during the diet plan, only light exercise is recommended for the physical activity portion of the diet. Heavy exercise could cause fatigue and starvation as the body burns the limited calories it has for energy faster. The hormones in the drops will not affect a woman's menstrual cycle, and there are no other known side effects from the program. Higher calorie intakes needed for nourishment during pregnancy cause the the plan to yield little to no results if used by pregnant women.
